Cavalier X Bichon X Mini Poodle

Most Bichpoos reach their adult height of 9 to 15 inches tall at the shoulder and weight of 8 to 18 pounds between 12 -18 months of age.
Pondview Puppies typically has Bichpoo puppies available 3-5 times throughout the year! The parents of our Bich-poo puppies are purebred Bichon Frise mothers and prebred Mini Red Poodle fathers.
The parent breeds, Poodles and Bichons, are similar in appearance, both sporting curly hair and an athletic build. The slight differences between them include their coloring and body shape. Bichons have a rounded, compact figure, while Poodles are leaner and have sharper muzzles. Our Bich-poo puppies come in Apricot, Cream, and Red coats.
Like their parents, Bichpoos have hair instead of fur. Their hair grows continuously and doesn’t shed. Dander production is minimal and because the hair doesn’t shed, it has excellent hypoallergenic qualities. Although no dog breed is 100% hypoallergenic, the Bichpoo is up there with the best of them.!
The Bichpoo was first bred in Australia in the late 1990s, and has become extremely popular in its homeland in the years since. Breeders, captivated by the charm and playful spirit of both poodles and bichon frisés, decided to combine their best qualities. Looking to combine the traits that make both parent breeds excellent companions, including the desirable low-shedding coat that both carry, resulted in the adorable bichpoo, a designer dog that quickly stole hearts around the world. Crossbreeding is also done as much to soften negative characteristics, and Bichpoos do tend to be less clingy than Bichons, and sturdier than the Miniature and Toy Poodles, who can be somewhat delicate.
The Bich-poo is described as a social butterfly with a "velcro" personality. They inherit the Poodle’s sharp wit and the Bichon’s cheerful, clownish nature. They make some of the best dogs for seniors and young ones alike, thanks to their appealing demeanor and love of attention. Bichpoos’ endearing personalities make them ideal options for people who have a lot of time to devote to their pets.
Bichpoos are typically very healthy dogs who they enjoy a long lifespan of 12 to 15 years. In some cases, they even live to be 18 or more. The few health issues they can encounter throughout their life include patellar luxation, vision-related problems (most common in old age), teeth issues, skin allergies, and ear infections, all of which are common in all small dog breeds.
While the coat type can vary, all Bichpoos need regular brushing – at least three or four times a week. The nature of their hair also means they need to be washed every few weeks with a gentle dog shampoo. A professional groomer can advise on the frequency at which to clip the coat, and whether a Poodle- or Bichon-style cut will best suit the individual dog. It’s essential to also maintain their dental hygiene and check their ears regularly to prevent infections.
Part of the bichpoo’s appeal is their tiny size. These canines don’t need a sprawling backyard or huge fields to run in. In fact, they’re the perfect pup for apartment living! These little ones are right at home in a small space and can easily snuggle on the couch or a little pillow. Because bichpoos still need plenty of exercise, you’ll need to make sure to take them on plenty of walks or even runs at the dog park. They pack a surprising amount of energy into their tiny frames! They are known for their sudden burst of energy, which can appear to catch them unawares throughout the day, so it is important to also keep toys around the house to provide entertainment when needed.

The Cavapoochon was pioneered by Steve and Linda Rogers of Timshell Farm in Arizona around 2002–2003. They worked alongside a veterinary reproduction specialist in North Dallas to stabilize the triple-cross. In 2013 the breed gained massive popularity after a pet story writer from API asked professional trainer, Stephen Haynes, “What’s the dog that never loses it’s cute puppy face?”. Haynes answered, “oh, that’s easy – that’s the CavaPooChon!” The story ran in newspapers world-wide, and three of the Roger's puppies were special guests on the Today Show.
Choosing a Cavachon Poo (commonly known as a Cavapoochon) means bringing home a "triple-cross" breed that combines the best traits of the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, Poodle, and Bichon Frise.
The "Forever Puppy" LookThe Cavapoochon is famous for maintaining a youthful, "teddy-bear" appearance throughout its entire life. They typically feature:
All of our puppies are raised in our home with love and care. They are exposed to different sounds and experiences to help them develop into confident and well-socialized puppies. We provide all necessary vaccinations and deworming before sending them to their new homes.
We are committed to breeding only healthy dogs that meet the breed standard. Our breeding dogs undergo genetic testing to ensure they are free of any hereditary diseases. We carefully select breeding pairs to produce puppies that will be healthy and have desirable traits.

While most "doodles" are low-shedding, the Cavapoochon is often considered more hypoallergenic than standard crosses.
By combining three companion breeds, Cavapoochons are bred specifically for their personality:
Thanks to their Poodle heritage—one of the smartest dog breeds—Cavapoochons are typically fast learners.
As a tri-hybrid, these dogs benefit from hybrid vigor, which can reduce the likelihood of inheriting certain genetic diseases common in purebred parents.
